GTD installations Ltd are a multi-fuel and wood burning stove installer based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. We have had experience with chimneys and fireplaces since 1991 and became a HETAS registered installer regulated for fitting wood burning stoves, log burners, pellet stoves and multifuel / solid fuel appliances since 2013. 

If you dream of spending your autumn and winter months relaxing by the fire, warmed by the flames, whilst burning a carbon neutral fuel and saving money on your heating bill; then we can help you.

 

There are many manufacturers, suppliers, fuel types, appliances and engineers to choose from. We understand that it's a confusing world of websites, showrooms and technical jargon. We can help you find your dream stove, uncover your original rustic fireplace or design a stylish twin-wall system for your home.  

We avoid using the cheapest stoves and parts on the market; as we believe that your installation should be built to last as well as look good.

If you live within 12 miles of Hitchin, Hertfordshire you can arrange a site survey for your woodburning or multi-fuel stove installation. We will arrange an appointment when we are next in your area and send you an estimate for the work via email.

Customers that live further than 6 miles from Hitchin, will be charged for the survey service which we will refund to you if you go ahead with the quotation. Our quotes are valid for 30 days. Click to read our other Terms and Conditions.

We love Woodburners

With over 10 years of installation experience we are skilled at fitting stoves from manufacturers such as Arada, ACR, AGA, Beltane, Broseley, Charnwood, Carron, Dovre, Ekol, Esse, Flavel, Hamlet, Hunter, Stovax, Mazona, Mendip, Parkray, Villager, Yeoman and many more. We also have been using a woodburner of our own at home over this time and even had one in the garden for a couple of years!

 

Unlike the bigger showrooms who are not interested in any building work involved, we can help you from conception to installation of your woodburner project. We will give you set dates for our visit(s) rather than a rough guide, unlike other installers and will sweep the chimney during installation, a legal requirement, so that you don't have to organise one at the last minute.
