GTD Installations Ltd are a family run business, installing mostly wood burning and multifuel stoves in Herts, Beds and Bucks with many years of experience.

Gareth Daniells, an ex royal marine born in Hitchin and brought up in Letchworth; son of Mr Tony Daniells (chimney sweep since 1991) trained as a HETAS engineer over a decade ago, back in 2012, and also has many years of chimney sweeping and repair experience whilst trading as Cleansweep Vac Services.  His chimney sweeping company is also approved by HETAS.

Jack Holland is our solid fuel heating engineer and chimney sweep. Gareth and Jack have worked together for almost 5 years now.

Why choose us?

Independent and Local

We do not have a showroom which helps keeps costs low and doesn't tie us to a small selection of stove manufacturers. This means we are often able to source stoves at very reasonable prices for our customers but can also undertake any building works that may be necessary for the installation.

If you do buy a stove through us we will provide a stove pipe thermometer for free so that you know when you are using your stove and fuel at is best. If you are looking to buy a thermometer, visit our shop, where you can enjoy free delivery if you live local to us and pay cash on delivery.

We also have a chimney sweeping company so no need to organise the cleaning of the chimney before installation (unlike many other installers) and we will advise on any maintenance, if needed, during future sweeps.
 

We only purchase parts and materials from quality suppliers and if you live within 15 miles of Hitchin, Hertfordshire; we provide a free survey and quotation service. We can visit early mornings and at weekends if it is more convenient for you.

Why choose a HETAS engineer / installer?

Using a HETAS trained and registered engineer means that;

• Your installation will meet with current building regulations

• You will not have to apply or pay for permission from your local council to install your stove and it will also not need inspecting afterwards

• Your HETAS installer has undertaken regular training and keeps up with the latest changes in the industry and regularly has their work inspected

• Your HETAS engineer has adequate public liability insurances. We are insured up to £2 million
   

Using a HETAS registered engineer ensures that all aspects of your installation are safe and legal. Always check that membership is valid on the HETAS website when organising quotation visits.

Gareth has installed hundreds of stoves throughout Herts, Beds, Bucks, Essex, Midlands and North London over the years and has a wealth of experience and a trusted reputation.

Gareth achieved his HETAS certification in 2012 and has been installing dry systems, including twin wall (rigid) systems ever since. GTD Installations Ltd are a registered HETAS installer. He is also a HETAS certified chimney sweep.
